When a vehicle arrives at the guard gate, use the SV3 Go app to find its authorized entry before permitting it.
There are three ways to locate an authorized entry:
- Scan the license plate (preferred). The app looks up scheduled deliveries for that plate.
- Search the Authorized Entries list. Use this to double-check when a plate scan returns no deliveries.
- Scan the driver's ID. Use this when you can't locate the entry by license plate.
Once you find the entry, you complete two required scans and then permit the vehicle.
Option 1: Scan the license plate
Start here for every arriving vehicle.
- As the vehicle approaches the guard gate, open the SV3 Go app.
- At the top of the home screen, tap Scan Plate.
- Walk to the back of the vehicle (or the back of the trailer) and scan the rear license plate.
- On the Vehicle Details screen, check the pre-filled License Plate Number, License Plate Country, and License Plate State. Correct any field that doesn't match the plate, or tap Re-Scan License Plate.
- Tap Next.
- On the Deliveries screen, review the Scheduled Deliveries for that plate:
- If a matching delivery appears, select it and go to Completing the permit.
- If the screen shows No deliveries found, do not tap Add a new Delivery yet. Go to Option 2 to confirm there is no authorized entry first.
Option 2: Search the Authorized Entries list
If a plate scan returns no deliveries, search the list manually before adding a new delivery.
- Tap the back arrow to return to the home screen.
- Tap the search bar (Search name, ID, plate number...).
- Type the first three characters of the license plate. For example, typing 6SA narrows the list to entries whose plates start with those characters.
- Under Authorized Entries, compare each result to the vehicle and driver in front of you. Check the plate number, state, and driver name.
- When you find the matching entry, tap it and go to Completing the permit.
If no matching entry appears, try Option 3 before adding a new delivery.
Option 3: Scan the driver's ID
Use this when you can't locate the authorized entry by license plate.
- On the home screen, tap Scan ID.
- Scan the front of the driver's license.
- When prompted to Flip to the back side, turn the license over and scan the back.
- On the Driver Details screen, review the pre-filled driver information (name, ID number, ID country, ID state). Correct anything that doesn't match, or tap Re-Scan Driver ID.
- Tap Next. The app opens the matching authorized entry, with Scan ID already marked complete.
- In the entry's License Plate Details, confirm the plate number matches the vehicle the driver is driving.
- Go to Completing the permit.
Completing the permit
Every authorized entry requests two image captures before you can permit the vehicle - License Plate and Driver ID. The Delivery details screen tracks them under Steps to permit (for example, 0 out of 2 required).
- Review the Event Details, Driver Details, and License Plate Details against the vehicle and driver.
- Next to Scan ID, tap Scan and scan the driver's license. This is not a hard requirement, but suggested.
- Next to Scan license plate, tap Scan and scan the plate. This captures the plate image, even if you already scanned the plate in Option 1.
- When both steps show as complete, tap Permit.
If a scan needs to be redone, tap Re-scan next to that step.
