Connect your printer to Wi-Fi and find its static IP address so you can pair it with a Kiosk. Note: You must use a static IP address.
Before you start
- Know your Wi-Fi network name and password.
- Make sure the printer will connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your Kiosk.
- Have the printer powered on and within range of your Wi-Fi router. You'll use its wireless network menu, labeled WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) on the printer's screen.
Steps
Connect to Wi-Fi
- Press the printer's Menu button.
- Use ▲ and ▼ to select WLAN > WLAN (On/Off) > On, then press OK.
- Use ▲ and ▼ to select WLAN > Infra Manual Setting, then press OK. The printer searches for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Use ▲ and ▼ to select your network, then press OK.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password, then press OK. Tip: Press Menu to switch between uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Use ▲ and ▼ to select each character.
- When the connection succeeds, "Connected!" appears on the screen. Press OK.
- Press ↩ to return to the main screen. The Wi-Fi icon appears in the top-right corner, confirming the printer is connected.
Find your IP address
- Press the Menu button.
- Use ▲ and ▼ to select WLAN > WLAN Status > Infrastructure Mode, then press OK.
- Find the IP address next to IP Addr. It's a series of numbers separated by periods — for example,
192.168.1.44.
Result
You now have your printer's static IP address, ready to pair with a Kiosk.
Troubleshooting
