Show a custom field's question and answer choices in another language on the Kiosk.
Before you start
- You must be a Global Admin, or a Local Admin at the Location.
- Custom fields are set per Location. Translating one here doesn't change a custom field with the same name at another Location.
- Each language needs every part of the field entered again: the question, the answer choices, and any answers that put a visitor on Pending Approval. Have all the translated text ready.
Steps
- On the Dashboard, click the Settings icon, then click Locations.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon for the Location.
- Click the Custom Fields tab.
- Click the Edit icon for the custom field.
- Click the Custom Field Languages list and select the language.
- In Enter the content/name of the custom field, type the question as it should read in that language.
- If the field is a drop-down list, type the translated answer choices in Enter the dropdown list separated by the return key, one per line.
- If Prevent check-in when certain answers are given is on, type the translated answers that put a visitor on Pending Approval.
- Click Save.
Result
Visitors who choose that language at the Kiosk see the translated question and answer choices. Visitors who choose a language with no translation see the English version.
