A breakdown of the specific options within the Kiosk options section
Before you start
- You need the Global Admin or Local Admin role.
Kiosk options
Name and language
-
Name your kiosk: The Kiosk name shown in your reports. It must be unique. At a Location with several check-in points, use a name that tells them apart, such as
Front LobbyorAdministration Desk. - Kiosk Default Language: The language the Kiosk shows before a visitor picks one. To set up translated versions of what visitors see, see how Localization works in SV3 Enterprise.
Sign in Options
Under Select the function of your kiosk, choose one:
- Check-In Visitors Only: The Kiosk checks visitors in. If the Check Out Button is enabled, visitors can check out as well.
- Check-Out Visitors Only: The Kiosk checks visitors out only.
- Register Visitors Only: The visitor registers at the Kiosk, and SV3 Enterprise creates the visit with a status of Scheduled. The visitor isn’t checked in.
Under Customize your kiosk sign in methods, choose one
- Allow Scheduled Visitors Only: Only visitors with a scheduled visit can check in. A visitor can check in by scanning the QR code they receive for their scheduled visit. To make sure each visitor receives a QR code, make email required on every Visit Type used at this Kiosk.
- Allow Walk-up Visitors Only: Every visitor checks in as a walk-in visitor (an Unscheduled Visitor) and fills out the registration form.
- Allow Walk-up and Scheduled Visitors: Both scheduled visitors and walk-in visitors can check in.
- Allow Walk-up and Scheduled Visitors with Home Screen Camera: Both scheduled visitors and walk-in visitors can check in. The camera on the home screen is for scanning QR code that a visitor receives via text using self-registration or via email in an invite notification.
You can also turn on these options:
- Enable visitor temperature scanning: This is for scanning a visitor's forehead using a physical temperature scanner integrated with the Kiosk.
- Scan drivers license: Lets visitors check in by scanning their driver’s license with the iPad’s rear-facing camera. Only the visitor’s name is captured. The license number, address, and other details aren’t. Make sure the Kiosk enclosure doesn’t cover the rear-facing camera.
Check out
Check Out Button: Adds a Check Out option to the Kiosk Welcome screen. The visitor taps it, and the iPad switches to the front-facing camera to scan the QR code in the bottom corner of their Visitor Badge.
