Check a Kiosk’s connection and send a diagnostics report to Building Intelligence Support.
Before you start
- Physical access to the iPad running the SV3 Enterprise Kiosk App
- Today’s access code from BI Support — email support@sv3.com. Codes are issued per day.
Steps
- On the Kiosk welcome screen, tap the version number in the bottom-right corner of the footer.
- Enter the code from Support in Access code, then tap Continue. The dialog names your organization.
- Read Status. Connection shows the current state and how long it has held.
- Tap Run Connectivity Test. Three checks return with response times.
- Tap Reconnect Now if Connection is not healthy.
- Tap Send Diagnostics to Support. A six-character code appears. Give that code to Support so they can find your logs.
- If the Kiosk is connected to a printer, you will also have the option to Test Print.
- Tap Close.
Tip: Copy to Pasteboard copies the full log to the clipboard if you would rather paste it into an email or a note yourself.
Result
Support has the diagnostics report and the code that points to it.
Troubleshooting
- Access code rejected — the code is only good for the day it was issued. Request a new one.
- Test Print is dimmed — the Kiosk has no printer connected.
- A connectivity check fails — send the diagnostics report and give Support the code.
