Check in a Walk-In Visitor at the Kiosk

Before you start

The Kiosk is paired with your Location and running the SV3 Enterprise Kiosk App.
Scan ID appears only when Scan drivers license is on for the Kiosk. To check, open the Kiosks tab for your Location, then select the Edit icon next to the Kiosk. The setting is on the Edit Kiosk screen, and each Kiosk has its own.
To use Scan ID, the iPad's rear camera must be uncovered. Some Kiosk enclosures block it.

Check in a walk-in visitor

A walk-in visitor (an Unscheduled Visitor) has no visit in SV3 Enterprise yet. They register at the Kiosk when they arrive.

On the Welcome screen, tap Tap to Register.
If the Enter your email address to check in screen appears, enter an email address. To use a phone number instead, first switch the toggle to Phone Number.
Tap Next. With no scheduled visit to match, the Kiosk continues to walk-in registration.
Select a Visit Type.
Tap Scan ID to fill in the form from a driver's license, or Registration Form to enter every detail by hand.

Tap Begin Scanning.
Hold the driver's license up to the iPad's rear camera.
On the registration form, check the pre-filled name and state of residency.

Note: The scan keeps only the visitor's name and state of residency. No other details from the license are kept.

Complete the registration form

Enter a first and last name, if they aren't already filled in.
Complete the remaining fields, such as Host, Phone Number, Email Address, or Company Name. The Visit Type decides which fields appear and which are required.
Tap Next.

Note: More screens can follow, such as custom fields or a Visitor Photo, depending on the Visit Type and Kiosk. See optional screens at Kiosk check-in.

Result

The visitor's status is Checked In and they receive a Visitor Badge. If the visitor matches a Watchlist entry, their status is Pending Approval until a Security Officer, Local Admin, or Global Admin reviews it.
