Set a Data Retention Period

Choose how many days a Location keeps visitor data before SV3 Enterprise deletes it automatically.

Before you start

• You need the Global Admin role, or the Local Admin role at the Location.
• By default, SV3 Enterprise keeps visitor data for 365 days. You can set a retention period from 90 to 730 days.
• Visitor data includes user records, visit records, visit barcodes, QR codes, and Visitor Photos.

Warning: Visitor data older than the retention period is deleted automatically. Export any records you need to keep, such as a Visit Report, before you shorten the period.

Steps

1. Hover over the Settings icon on the left side of the window.
2. Click Locations.
3. Search for or select the Location.
4. Select the Options tab.
5. Scroll to Data Retention Period and enter the number of days to keep visitor data.
6. Click Save.

Result

The Location keeps visitor data for the number of days you entered, then deletes it automatically.
