Visitors check themselves in and out at the Kiosk, an iPad running the SV3 Enterprise Kiosk App that's paired with your Location. To start checking in, a visitor taps Start on the Welcome screen. Which check-in methods they see depends on whether their visit was scheduled and on how the Kiosk is set up.
Check-in methods
A walk-in visitor (an Unscheduled Visitor) can check in by:
- Filling in the registration form. The visitor taps Registration Form and types their information. First Name and Last Name always appear. Other fields may be present, such as Host, Company Name, Phone Number, or Email Address, depending on the Visit Type.
- Scanning their driver's license. When Scan drivers license is turned on for the Kiosk, Scan ID appears after the visitor chooses a Visit Type. The visitor then enters any remaining information. The scan captures only the visitor's name. It doesn't capture the license number, address, or other details.
A scheduled visitor has two more options:
- Scanning the QR code from their invitation email, using the iPad's front camera.
- Entering their phone number or email address to look up the visit.
These scheduled-visit options appear when any "Allow Scheduled Visitors" option is turned on for the Kiosk under "Sign in Options".
Note: Driver's license scanning uses the iPad's rear camera. If you plan to use it, make sure your Kiosk enclosure doesn't cover the rear camera.
After the registration form, a visitor may see more screens set by the Visit Type or the Kiosk, such as custom fields, a destination, a document to sign or a Video Acknowledgment, or a Visitor Photo.
Checking out at the Kiosk
When Allow Check Out is turned on for the Kiosk, a Check Out option appears on the Welcome screen. Visitors check out by scanning the QR code on their Visitor Badge with the iPad's front camera.
