Create the client secret that SV3 Enterprise uses as its Secret Key to connect to Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
Before you start
- Register SV3 Enterprise as an app in Azure and grant it Microsoft Graph permissions.
- Client secrets expire. Azure no longer lets you set a secret to never expire. Create a new secret and enter it in SV3 Enterprise before the old one expires, or the Azure AD sync fails.
- Azure Active Directory is now Microsoft Entra ID. To find Certificates & secrets, sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center, go to Entra ID > App registrations, and select the app.
Steps
- Sign in to the Microsoft Entra (Formerly Microsoft Azure) admin center.
- In the menu on the left side of the page, select Entra ID.
- Select App registrations.
- Select the SV3 Enterprise app.
- Under Manage, select Certificates & secrets.
- Click the Client secrets tab, and then click + New client secret.
- Enter a Description, select when the secret expires, and then click Add.
- Copy the secret's Value, not the Secret ID. The value appears only once and is hidden after you leave the page.
- Save the value somewhere secure.
Warning: Copy the Value, not the Secret ID. You can't see the value again after you leave the page.
Result
You have the Secret Key, the last of the three values SV3 Enterprise needs. Next, connect SV3 Enterprise to Azure AD.
