Record each visitor's Citizenship at check-in, and optionally alert someone when a visitor from another country arrives.
Before you start
- You need to be a Global Admin or Local Admin to change a Visit Type.
- Citizenship is set on a Visit Type, and Visit Types are set per Location. Only visits with this Visit Type collect Citizenship.
- The list of countries visitors choose from is fixed and can't be changed.
Steps
- Hover over the Settings
- Select Locations
- Under Location Management, Select Location
- Go to the Visit Types
- Select Edit icon to Open the Visit Type that should collect Citizenship. For details, see how to configure Visit Types.
- Scroll down to Additional Visit Type Options, Turn on Capture visitor's citizenship.
- Save the Visit Type.
- Optional: To get an alert, go to the Options tab in the Locations area and enter an email address under Citizenship - Email Notification then enable and Save. For details, see how to set up foreign visitor email notifications.
Result
Visitors with this Visit Type give their Citizenship at check-in:
- At the Kiosk, each visitor selects their own country of citizenship.
- At the Dashboard, the visitor tells the user checking them in, such as a Receptionist or Security Officer, who enters it.
Citizenship can't be entered when the visit is scheduled. If you set up the alert, the email address receives a message whenever a visitor checks in whose citizenship is in a different country from the Location's address.
