Security Officers can now scan and validate visitor IDs at the desk.
What's new
Security Officers can validate visitor IDs and speed up data entry using the Acuant AssureTec ID-150 Sentinel ID scanner. The PSC QS3000 scanner is also supported.
Scanning works in two places:
- Scheduled visitor — scan from the Visit details form to verify the ID against the scheduled visit.
- Walk-in visitor — start the record with a scan, which validates the ID and fills in the visitor's name.
Who this affects
Security Officers at Locations that require ID validation, and Local Admins configuring the scanners.
What you need to do
Choose the scanning mode for each Location:
- Disabled — no scanning options appear.
- Enabled — an option to scan an ID appears in the Visit detail view when at least one scanner is set up.
- Required for Check-In — checking in without scanned ID information opens the Visitor Detail view with the message "ID Scan Required for Check In."
